Lisa’s career is underpinned by an impressive academic backdrop and her passion for sustainable business practices. She studied Engineering at Cambridge University before returning to pursue a PhD in the same subject in 2002. Her doctoral research focused on innovation, technology management and sustainable business models. She was an Assistant Professor at National University Singapore before joining Columbia Threadneedle in 2007 as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager.

At Columbia Threadneedle, Lisa pioneered, initiated and championed ESG investing and played a leading role in integrating ESG philosophy into the firm’s investment process whilst also managing a number of institutional mandates in Asian Equities. After leaving in 2018, she was appointed to the Board of Axiata Group as an Independent Non-Executive Director until 2020.
