BIOGRAPHY

Experience

In my 40-year career, I served in many professional roles in academia, including university trustee, vice president, associate dean and chief operating officer, chief of staff to the president, and educator. In these roles, I coached and counseled students, faculty, staff, administrators, cabinet members, presidents and women seeking advancement.

These opportunities allowed me to gain a deep understanding of the dynamics of working and advancing in colleges and universities. I am known for my disciplined and methodical approach to career coaching for candidates looking to secure or advance to a more senior position in academia. What truly sets me apart from other career coaches is my desire to help women in academia succeed. Twice during my career, my position was eliminated. Two new leaders were employed, and they brought in their own staff. This situation happens often in higher education, and because I experienced it firsthand, I can help you address this and other challenges.

My compassionate, supportive, and encouraging approach will help you achieve your career goals. While I will challenge you to stay focused and committed to the strategic career plan we have outlined, I will always be ready to listen and provide caring and thoughtful guidance. I am motivated daily knowing that my coaching has supported women to showcase their skills more effectively, encouraged them to seek new career opportunities, and provided them the confidence to successfully navigate their daily interactions with colleagues, peers, and superiors.
