EXPERTISE/RESEARCH INTERESTS

Professor Lian Fen Lee has taught Financial and Managerial Accounting at the University of Michigan and Singapore Management University. Her research interests include the interplay between managerial incentives and their reporting and disclosure choices, as well as understanding market participants’ use of accounting information.

SELECTED APPOINTMENTS AND AWARDS

In 2010, Professor Lee received the American Accounting Association Competitive Manuscript Award for her paper “Incentives to inflate reported cash from operations using classification and timing.”

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, Professor Lee worked in the Singapore offices of Arthur Andersen and Ernst and Young.
