Biography

Western Ontario University

Liam is a management-side labour and employment lawyer at a full-service firm in London, with experience representing employers in court and at provincial tribunals, providing day-to-day advice to managers and business owners, and drafting various employment-related documents.

Liam Ledgerwood was called to the Bar in 2018, and since then his practice has exclusively focused on labour and employment law. In that role, he has represented employers of all sizes (from large international corporations to local non-profits) at the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Human Rights Tribunal, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, and in employment standards proceedings. Liam has always been drawn to continuous learning and teaching. As a research assistant during law school, he co-authored two published articles on judicial ethics and helped update a leading Canadian textbook on private international law. As a fourth-year undergraduate at Trent University, he guest-lectured at an introductory philosophy course, and since becoming a lawyer, he has guest-lectured twice at Western University’s law school. Liam is excited to become a formal educator for the first time. When he isn’t working, Liam is usually spending time with his wife and baby daughter on their hobby farm, where they keep two horses, an ever-growing number of chickens, and a German Shepherd dog.
