LEONG Chan Foo James

Prof James has more than 20 years of financial, management and training experience serving a growing global clientele. He graduated from NUS with honours and achieved distinction for achieving the top 5% of results in his chartered accountancy examinations in Australia. Prof James received his professional training from a Big Four accounting firm and was Head of Finance (Asia Pacific) for a Fortune 500 company. He has served as adjunct associate professor with NUS since 2004 and teaches accounting and finance at the Faculty of Law, NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE) and NUS Business School for executive education. He has also presided as a judge for the Singapore Corporate Awards (Best Annual Report category) and actively lectures with the Securities Investors Association of Singapore.

As the founder of training consultancy Visions.One Consulting, Prof James is also a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) – professional speaking highest credential awarded by the Global Speakers Federation, held by the top 12% of professional speaker members worldwide. An award-winning speech champion, Distinguished Toastmaster Prof James represented Singapore and emerged as Champion in the Toastmasters International Pan Southeast Asia’s Humour Speech Contest.

Prof James is the author of his soon-to-be-published book, Financial Storytelling.

The Singapore Business Review has featured Prof James as one of ten influential professional speakers in Singapore.
