Responsible for scheduling 60+% of corporations output supplying 500 Stores. Implemented level pull system reducing inventory of core product from 2 weeks to 2 days. Winner of Bradley Erickson Award (highest in company) in 2016, reducing inventory by $4million and implementing continuous Improvement processes that resulted in another $4 million. Provide supply chain procurement support in product launch, product line restructuring, and optimization of inventory, planning, and logistics assets.

Value Steam Planner, Worthington Industries, Florence, S.C.

Reduced inventory from $7.1 million to $6.1 million in first two months of employment. Implemented pull systems across two value streams – personally responsible for setting up two supermarkets and training/implementing pull systems in two assembly operations. Responsible for raw material supply when production lines moved to Mexico, Japan, and Greenville, Tennessee.

Sr. Buyer, ESAB Cutting and Welding, Florence, S.C.

Sr. Buyer/Planner for ESAB Welding and Cutting Equipment – Serving the Equipment and OEM divisions personally responsible for over $50 million in purchases annually with an average inventory of $1.4 million (29 turns – started with 6). Strategic Sourcing point of contact for Gas Apparatus Lean/Pull implementation – negotiating inventory agreements with over 700 parts covering 30+ suppliers resulting in reduction of inventory from $5.5 million (Raw, WIP, and Finished) to $3.0 in 6 months. In 2013, Worked with suppliers to reduce all Equipment and OEM inventory by 50% in 6 months. In 2013 worked with team to move major product line from Poland back to US – sourcing over 200 purchased parts. In 2011 worked with Materials Manager to reduce average inventory by $5 million in 6 months. Sourcing representative on Tier One Gas Apparatus Development project (projected sales from $11 to $43 million in three years) sourcing internationally. Negotiated Silver contract increasing turns from 13 to 80 on $2 million annually. Negotiated supply agreements to increase turns and increase working capital. Supervised 5 employees.

Operations Manager, Jones School Supply, Columbia, S.C.

Managed Proofing, Engraving, Warehouse, Shipping and Receiving Departments for $31 million supplier of school achievement awards. Responsible for hiring and training of seasonal (up to 60 employees) and non-seasonal staff. Reduced order fulfillment time in engraving by 1 day, temp labor for 26%, and assembly time by 50% decreased through put time from three departments to pack line by 30 minutes.

Sonoco Products Company, Hartsville, S.C. Manager, Project Office

Implemented 39 plants with MRPII software, managed programming staff of 4 while traveling and implementing plants with staff of 5 plant implementers. Responsible for system integration for all financial interfaces, pre-implementation plant visits, identify resources in plant for education, plant system education and training, plant support during and after startup. This project resulted in a documented $52 milliondollar reduction in inventory over a three-year period and two Sonoco Commitment To Excellent awards. Implemented: Inventory Control, Bill of Materials, Material Requirements Planning, Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Order Entry, Forecasting by Product Families, Production and Shipping Scheduling, Invoicing, and Shop Floor Control. Implemented MRPII System in 4 paper mills and 10 converting plants. Assignments included: system modeling, system imprinting, procedures development and documentation, development and administration of training, shop floor integration of system, and integration to corporate financial systems.

Adjunct Professor in the Global Supply Chain degree program at the Darla Moore Business School at USC pioneering (first in nation) CPIM certification of undergraduate and graduate students receiving an almost 100% pass rate with students who have limited manufacturing experience. Earned success is assisting the program to expand to 250+ students in the 7 th year. Number one International MBA and undergraduate business programs in the country and currently ranked 12 th in Supply Chain.
