Biography

Lamar Pierce joined the Olin faculty in 2007, after visiting at Carnegie Mellon for two years. Prior to earning his PhD at the University of California, Berkeley, he worked at Boeing in Seattle, WA. Pierce's research focuses on economic and psychological factors that impact both productivity and misconduct, and the organizational solutions to jointly address these effects. Pierce teaches Strategy, Management, Business Ethics in the MBA, Undergraduate, and Executive MBA programs at Olin.

Lamar Pierce joined the Olin faculty in 2007 after earning his PhD at UC Berkeley and working at Boeing. Lamar''s research focuses on economic and psychological factors that impact both productivity and misconduct, and the organizational solutions to jointly address these effects. He teaches Strategic Management in the MBA and Executive MBA programs, as well as Business, Government, and Society to Executive MBA students and Ethics to government executives at the Brookings Institution. Lamar serves as Academic Director of then joint Olin/Brookings Executive Masters of Science in Leadership, and is Associate Editor at Management Science and Strategic Management Journal.
