Kenan-Flagler Business School

The research interests of Kristin Wilson include strategy in regulated industries, financial services regulation, competitive strategy, business-government relations, and strategy and the institutional environment.

She currently teaches strategic management in the undergraduate business program.

Dr. Wilson received the best paper award by doctoral student in the public and non-profit division from the Academy of Management in 2011 for her work on the performance effects of regulatory oversight.

Prior to her graduate studies, she worked as assistant economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and as a research assistant at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Wilson is a North Carolina native and a lifelong Tar Heel.

She received her DBA in strategy from Harvard Business School. She earned a BA in economics and Latin American studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
