Biography
Bayes Business School
Konstantinos graduated with a PhD in Business Development from the Surrey Business School, University of Surrey, in 2013, where he was awarded the Surrey Business School Scholarship. He also holds a BA in Management Science and Technology from Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, and a MSc in Programme and Project Management from Warwick University.
He is a qualitative researcher interested in the practices and strategic dynamics of organizations and markets. First, he studies the intra-organizational practices through which financial markets are constructed, using social-practice and boundary theories. He is also interested in exploring the way strategy is done inside organizations and their implications on the strategic dynamics of markets. Second, he studies the social construction of risk within organizations, largely drawing from organization studies on risk and risk management. Third, he has a keen interest in comparative studies that explore organizational variation on international and global markets. Fourth, he researches the interplay between strategic entrepreneurship and institutions, focusing on the nexus of the organization and market level.
He is a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Management, Cass Business School, since October 2013. He is currently involved in a research project that studies the market mechanisms that transfer uninsurable risk into global financial markets in an attempt to bridge the global insurance gap and the implications that this has in market functioning. Previously, he was involved in a global ethnography research programme examining the competitive dynamics of the global reinsurance industry. He has also worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Surrey Business School and in the industry as a project manager and a business management consultant.
