Biography

Klimentina Poposka was born in Skopje. In 1996, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics-Skopje, University "St. Cyril and Methodius"-Skopje, business economics major. In 2001, at the Faculty of Economics - Skopje, UKIM, he completed his master's degree in Monetary Economics, and in 2007, he obtained his doctorate at the Economics Institute - Skopje, UKIM, on the topic: "Success and profitability of commercial banks".

She has been working at the Economic Institute - Skopje, UKIM, since 1998, and her current title is a full professor in the field of Finance. In the postgraduate studies of the second and third cycles, she is involved in the subjects: Commercial Banking, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Financing of SMEs, Risk Management, etc. Since 2018, he is the head of the Department of Economic Sciences and a member of the Institute Administration. Since 2020, he is a member of the Professional Council of Doctoral Studies at UKIM. He is a certified trainer in "Banking Economics" by Bankademie/Frankfurt, Germany and "Personal Finance", MFC, Poland.

He is a visiting professor at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany (DAAD), University of Applied Science, Department of Business Administration, Koblenz, Germany, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Economics, Slovenia (ERASMUS), as well as a visiting researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Supervisory Policy Analysis Department, USA (JFDP). He actively participates and manages scientific research and application projects, as well as participates in numerous conferences and study stays. Among the numerous projects, we can single out "Banking Economics", Bankakademie/Frankfurt, Germany (2000-2005); Banking Environment and Performance study (Bankakademie eG, Frankfurt); Social performance tools in Microfinance (ACT, LLC, Washington, DC); Personal Finance and Debt Management, MFC, Poland (2009-2013), Evaluation of EU projects (2017-2022), etc.

The most important study stays are: CEU, Budapest; St. Petersburg State University, Russia; CEU, Warsaw; Washington University in St. Louis, USA, (2003/2004, JFDP); Volksbank eG, Bopard, Germany (2005, 2007 and 2008); Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Germany, etc. The most important conferences stand out: Nice Sophia Antipolis University, France; Federal Reserve Bank of Saint Louis, USA; WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management, Wallender, Germany; University of Virginia. Charlottesville, Virginia, USA; Olin Business School. WashU, USA; University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, etc. He is the winner of several awards and scholarships: ERASMUS (2019); DAAD (2008); HESP Returning Fellow (2004/2005); US Department of State/JFDP (2003/2004); IMG/TEMPUS (2003), European Commission and others. He is the author and co-author of 8 books and more than 65 scientific papers.
