Kleio Akrivou (PhD) is Associate Professor in Business Ethics and Organisational Behaviour at the University of Reading (Henley Business School), UK, and Visiting Associate Professor in the University of Navarre’s Institute of Enterprise and Humanism in Spain. Kleio’s degree of Doctor of Philosophy specialised in human moral/ethical development (Case Western Reserve University, USA). She also has cross-disciplinary degrees from European universities.

Kleio’s current interdisciplinary research focuses on human development conceptions of self, meaning making, ethical valuing and actions that co-orient persons towards a collaborative economy for the common good transcending ideological or cultural divides while acknowledging diversity. In  2016 Dr. Akrivou and Prof. A. Sison have co-edited the book Challenges of Capitalism for Virtue Ethics and the Common Good (E. Elgar). Kleio has published her monograph Differentiation and Integration in Adult Development (Springer, 2008). Kleio’s research outputs include articles in the Journal of Business Ethics, Ethics in Science and Environmental Politics, Frontiers of Neuroscience, The Leadership Quarterly and the Academy of Management Learning and Education, among others.

Kleio is the Academic Director of the MSc in Management and the Lead Institutional representative for Principles of Responsible Management Education. She serves in the Editorial boards of AMLE and Ethics in Science and Environmental Politics. Kleio’s teaching is in International Ethics and Corporate Responsibility.
