Biography

Dr. Kin Cheung (George) Lee is a lecturer at The Centre of Buddhist Studies, The University of Hong Kong, and a founding member of the Master of Buddhist Counselling program as well as the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Buddhist Counselling program at the center. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University-Los Angeles, M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California, and M.A. in Buddhist Studies from The University of Hong Kong. Dr. Lee has published in the areas of Buddhist mindfulness, application of Buddhism to psychotherapy, acculturation and family conflicts, and international student psychology. His current research focuses on the appropriation of Early Buddhist teachings into a theoretical orientation for mental health treatment. Clinically, he is a California licensed psychologist (PSY28022), registered clinical psychologist of Hong Kong Associations of Doctor in Clinical Psychology, fellow member of the Asian Academy of Family Therapy, certified therapist in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and certified therapist in Managing and Adapting Practice.
