Eli Broad College of Business

Kevin Miceli joined Michigan State after completing his PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Kenan-Flagler School of Business. Dr. Miceli's research focuses in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship, particularly with dissertation titled From Garage Inventor to Garage Entrepreneur. His dissertation identifies a clear set of individuals that could become technology entrepreneurs and explores at the decision point to proceed to entrepreneurship or not. His research is interested in the questions of how new products and businesses are built, particularly in technological industries.

Interests: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Inventor and start-up strategies, Evolutionary perspective on knowledge and technology creation
