Prof. Dr. Kerstin Lopatta is Professor of Financial Accounting, Auditing and Sustainability at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg and Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg. She worked for one of the Big 4 auditing firms and spent many international research stays as a visiting researcher at well-known universities, including City University Hong Kong and New York University, Stern School of Business. In her research, Kerstin Lopatta empirically examines the effects of environmental, social, and governance factors on companies and society. Corporate governance issues such as board structures and diversity are also the subject of her academic analyses. Kerstin Lopatta is Chair of the Audit Committee of EQS Group AG, member of the Management Committee of the Sustainable Finance Research Platform and member of the Board of Directors of the Global Research Alliance of Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI).
