Biography

Mason School of Business

Ken White, Ph.D. is Associate Dean for MBA & Executive Programs at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary. He leads the School's Full-Time, Flex, Executive and Online MBA programs; the Graduate Career Management Center; the MBA Admissions Office; MBA Student Affairs; and the Center for Corporate Education.

Prior to joining the Mason School, White was Associate Dean for MBA & MS Programs at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business. Before that, he served as Vice President for Communication & Marketing at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business.

An award-winning classroom teacher, White holds a doctorate in communication from the University of Missouri. He teaches executive communication to numerous corporate teams, executives and MBA students.

Since 2015, White has served as the host of the Mason School's popular podcast, Leadership & Business. The podcast features conversations with today's business leaders from around the world. https://cce.mason.wm.edu/grow/podcasts/

He is active in the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) MBA Initiative that encourages MBA programs to teach strategic communication. He serves on the Graduate Management Admissions Council's (GMAC) Leadership Conference Advisory Group and is active in the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). He shares tips, information and advice pertaining to communication on Twitter @kenwhitephd.

Prior to working in higher education, White was an award-winning television sports anchor. He and his wife, a teacher, have three daughters.
