UW Professional & Continuing Education
Ken Kranseler is a long-term product strategist with experience working with large tech companies and burgeoning startups. Currently, he runs his own consulting firm, which advises, mentors and invests in early stage startups across Seattle. And prior to this, he was a principal product manager for the Kindle higher education team, driving Amazon’s strategy for expanding adoption of digital textbooks and course materials to enhance learning for college students around the world.
Before Amazon, Kranseler drove product strategy at a number of Seattle area startups, which included building a retail analytics and marketing relevance automation business for DS-IQ and helping INRIX go from a 15-person startup to a 300+ person company. He also spent over 10 years at Microsoft, launching new consumer and business software initiatives, which included developing Microsoft’s initial entrance into the CRM business. Kranseler has an MBA from Northwestern University.
