Harvard Graduate School of Design

Kaylan Dunlap is a senior technical specialist and has been with Evan Terry Associates (ETA) for sixteen years. Her responsibilities with ETA have included project management, surveying facilities to identify barriers, preparing reports, quality assurance, project coordination, surveyor training, survey form development, and seminars for large organizations such as The Congressional Office of Workplace Rights, The Architect of the Capitol, Sutter Health, Kaiser Permanente, Agnes Scott College, The US Department of Justice, Pacific Gas & Electric, J. Paul Getty Museums, Boston Medical Center, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, National Vision (America’s Best), CVS, and Sears/Kmart. She has also performed detailed policy analysis and implementation for large entities. Kaylan also serves as the Senior Technical Director overseeing the development and acceptance of content on www.CORADA.com.

Kaylan became a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) in the State of California in 2011 and completed the Great Plains ADA Center ADA Coordinator Training Certificate Program in 2017. She served on the U.S. Access Board’s Advisory Committee on Standards for Medical Diagnostic Equipment. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Certified Access Specialist Institute (CASI) and is a Subject Matter Expert for the California Division of the State Architect (DSA). She served on DSA’s Changing Facilities Task Force and Detectable Warnings Task Force during the code development process for those two topics. She is also a charter member of DSA’s Access Code Collaborative, an advisory committee that provides input and feedback to the California Division of State Architect on access related amendments to the California Building Code. She has taught at numerous conferences, including the National ADA Symposium, CASI seminars, the Harvard Graduate School of Design Executive Education Program, and the National Association of ADA Coordinators.
