Kathrin Probst is a Professor of User Experience Design and Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria, Campus Hagenberg. Until 2021, she worked as a senior user experience designer at the Austrian sheet music startup OKTAV.

In 2018, she finished her Ph.D. degree at the Johannes Kepler University Linz. She joined the Media Interaction Lab in 2011, after graduating from the master’s degree program Interactive Media at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria. Her research interests include the design of novel interfaces and interaction techniques, ubiquitous computing interfaces, in particular embodied interaction and Post-WIMP user interfaces.
