HECTOR School of Engineering & Management

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Fleischer is member of the Management Board of the Institute of Production Science (wbk) at the KIT. He was appointed head of the wbk in 2003. From 2011 - 2014 he has been dean of the faculty for Mechanical Engineering. Since 2012 he is visiting professor at the Tongji University in Shanghai/ China. At HECTOR School he combines scientific expertise with his broad industry experience with the Daimler Benz AG, Adranz, Bombardier Transporation and the Machine Tool Group MAG Industrial Automation Systems.

Fields of research and work:

  • Mechatronic modules / components for machine tools and handling systems
  • Automated systems for lightweight structures made from light metal and composite fiber materials
  • Automation of manufacturing of Li-Ion batteries and electric drives

  • Machine tools and handling technology
  • Development project to Machine tools and handling technology
  • Automated production facilities
  • Production systems for e-mobility as part of the "Green Mobility" Master‘s degree course at the Hector School of Engineering and Management
