Julie Harris

Julie Harris is a triple DePaul graduate and brings more than seven years of industry knowledge, entrepreneurial expertise and teaching experience in higher education.

After graduating from DePaul University, Julie worked at her alma mater in DePaul University's College of Education for five years. From there, she worked within Columbia College Chicago's Communication and Media Innovation Department where she worked closely with high profile companies such as NBC, MTV, Nike, Leo Burnett, Disney, Sony, Chicago Bears, Blackhawks, FCB, Havas and Edelman. At Columbia College, she served as an adjunct faculty member teaching and developing presentation skills and career prep courses. In addition, she partnered with the Marcus Graham Boot Camp to create a pop-up mini-ad agency, expanding opportunities for diversity within the creative industries. Additionally, she worked closely with the Czech Republic Consulate of Chicago to lead student teams on multiple social media and event marketing projects.

Julie's teaching career includes developing and teaching courses at Kendall College and Columbia College Chicago.

Currently, Julie works at Motorola Solutions as a Field Marketing Consultant to generate events, social media content creation and marketing campaigns across the US and Canada for Motorola's Public Safety State & Local Government markets. Julie is also a proud member of the American Marketing Association, Publicity Club of Chicago and The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
