Biography
Dr Julian Matthews studied mathematics before completing a Ph.D in automotive engineering at Warwick University . Since then he has more than 20 years experience in Positron Emission Tomography methodology at a number of academic (MRC cyclotron unit – Hammersmith, Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre – Cambridge), and at the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline. In January 2005, he returned to academia at the University of Manchester and is based at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre.
