Dr Goggi heads the Isotopic Molecular Imaging Laboratory, his interests include research in the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for the detection, stratification and treatment of disease in the fields of immune-oncology, neurology and regenerative medicine. Dr Goggi also holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Physiology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine NUS where he plays a key role in spearheading imaging associated biomedical projects.

Dr Goggi obtained his PhD in Neurochemistry from Imperial College London, UK in 2002 and completed his postdoctoral training in PET imaging at the Hammersmith Hospital in the Department of Psychiatry conducting research into the role of dopamine in Schizophrenia. Prior to his current appointment, Dr Goggi was a Senior Scientist at GE Healthcare Medical Diagnostics Discovery developing novel PET and SPECT diagnostics and MR contrast agents.

Dr Goggi has also worked in pharmaceutical research at the Merck Sharpe and Dohme Neuroscience Research Centre in the UK, working in the Alzheimer’s franchise. Dr Goggi holds numerous patents, has published many research papers in the field of imaging diagnostics and development and has been part of numerous successful grant awards including Theme Lead for Imaging in the prestigious CITI IAF-PP in 2018.
