Biography

Professor Yu has expertise in financial reporting, voluntary disclosure, and corporate governance. Her current research interests focus on linguistic properties of corporate disclosure, financial statement fraud detection, and interlocking networks. Professor Yu’s work has been presented at leading business schools and various national and international conferences.
Professor Yu has taught a variety of financial accounting and reporting courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining the University of Virginia, Professor Yu served as a faculty member at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
