Professor Mendoza García has spent almost all his professional and academic career in the field of economics applied to businesses, in areas such as economics for business, economics for decision-making, and the economics of organizations. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Academy of Management.

Dr. Mendoza has also served as a consultant to institutions such as the Tax Administration System, the Secretariat of Economy, Cemex, and Boehringer-Ingelheim-PROMECO. He has also served as an economic advisor for the Embassy of Mexico in Ireland.

In addition to his teaching activity at EGADE Business School and the University of Texas in Austin, Professor Mendoza was Director of the Center for Educational Innovation and Director of Executive MBA. At Tecnológico de Monterrey, he was Coordinator for the Department of Economics in the Graduate School in Administration and Director of the Master in Economics.
