Rotman School of Management

Professional Accreditation: Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

I am currently in KPMG Canada’s Management Consulting National Healthcare & Life Sciences Operations practice, based out of the Toronto office having joined in March 2019. I lead the National Health Data and Analytics, Home Care and Operational Improvement strategic planning bringing several years of broad experience in the health care sector having worked with many providers (acute hospitals, independent, home and community care) and authorities/ministries both in the UK and Canada.

I focus on complex health system planning, transformation and quality benefits realisation across all aspects of clinical service delivery, including clinical support services. With substantial experience in hospital financial sustainability project management and implementation, I support clients with dedication to navigate the need for increasing patient expectations regarding quality and access to care within the context of a limited pool of financial resources and increasing adoption of digital solutions.

I moved to Canada in August 2016 with EY (following a three month secondment) from EY UK (London), where I had worked since graduation from Durham University in 2013 (where I studied Economics). Throughout my career, I have mainly worked in the Healthcare industry, across many facets: digital transformation (creating apps), strategy development, operational improvement, financial reviews. Other experience has been in strategic financial planning for Local Governments.

LGS initially helped guide my choice in career through offering a lot of the subjects I wanted to do by not limiting me to the choices of certain subject mixes (like other schools), this enabled me to focus on more of the Maths/Economics side of things as well as sciences. The academic platform provided, supports the problem-solving skills required in business, whilst also opening doors to further education that is seen as minimum requirements at many firms. It was also really helpful to start having career conversations from Year 11 which also culminated in work experience opportunities. Needless to say, the academic background also helped inform my university choices and aspirations to build the career I have today. The support through the UCAS process is excellent to ensure that I was in the best position to receive offers from the universities I wanted to go to.
