Academic Division: ManagementDr. Jonathan Sims joined the Management Division at Babson College in the Fall of 2013 as Assistant Professor of Strategy. Dr. Sims'' research and teaching lies at the intersection of strategy, entrepreneurship, and open innovation. Broadly, he is interested in how entrepreneurial companies develop and implement technology strategies in cooperation with external communities. Jonathan holds a Ph.D. in Management from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, and a B.A. in Political Science from Emory University. In 2011, Jonathan was inducted into the University of Texas McCombs School of Business Faculty Honor Roll in recognition for outstanding teaching performance. In 2010, he was recognized as an Outstanding Reviewer by the Business Policy and Strategy division of the Academy of Management. Prior to returning to academia, Jonathan was an entrepreneur and independent consultant to both non-profit and for-profit ventures, as well as a program manager for the Office of the CIO at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
