Teachers College Columbia University
Jon Maes Rowand has been in the field of international education since 2004 working with language programs and admissions offices at private academies, K-12 schools, and higher education institutions around the globe. An Erasmus scholar, he holds a joint Master in Research and Innovation in Higher Education (MARIHE) from the University of Tampere, Finland and Danube University Krems, Austria. Jon’s teacher/administrator training background is primarily in ESL/EAP for adult learners while stationed as Director of Studies and Senior Regional Manager at ACT local testing centers and GAC university preparation programs in Asia. Returning to the United States in 2014, his experiences have focused on comprehensive campus internationalization initiatives, international student services, and enrollment management. Jon is the former supervisor of the Admission’s Operations subunit at Teachers College and he is now serving on the Admission Systems and Analytics team at University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
