Jon Blasby

Jon Blasby brings over twenty five years of experience in the real estate sector to his teaching, including working on projects with some of the world’s most renowned Architects. Having originally trained in cost management (he is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor) his pragmatic approach to design, an ability to view the project ‘from the perspective of the client’ plus considerable international experience informs his teaching.

He is currently a Director of Castiel Consultants in Spain, a specialist consultancy focusing on providing Project and Cost Management to international clients operating across Iberia. Before this, he had spent the majority of his career at AECOM / Davis Langdon where he has performed many different roles based in Madrid and London. He has also been a Director for Malcolm Reading Consultants, the leading private organiser of architecture competitions in the UK.

A trained Value and Risk Management Facilitator his other activities include Chair of the RICS Iberia Built Environment Professional Group and a member of RICS BIM International Working Group.
