Dr John Verster is an emeritus professor at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science, chairman of a public benefit NGO, vice chair of a conservation foundation, former executive chairman of an investment company and retired senior executive of the Standard Bank Group. His early career was in research under the CSIR, HSRC and as invited member of faculty of the international NATO Advanced Study Institute on Human Factors. He holds 4 degrees from three SA universities and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, USA. John was the founding director of the doctoral programme at GIBS, which achieved international accreditation under his leadership and he continues to supervise candidates for the DBA degree.
