Biography
Kelley School of Business
Over the last ten years I have migrated from a successful career in business to teaching and research in the field of marketing, retail, and general business. Retail and educational consulting are also part of my weekly activities. Many of the courses I teach involve the use of business or marketing simulations with a strong focus on connecting business activities to financial results. In 2012 I received the William Panschar award for teaching excellence. The highest honor of its kind in the Kelley School. I have also been been honored as a multiple nominee for the Kelley School Innovative Teaching award.
I have had a unique set of experiences in different functional operating areas of public and private companies. Details and process are important to me. I work well with creatives by articulating the business vision and fully advantaging their skills. I have an ability to inspire people and to lead them based on a shared vision. I truly want the best for those around me and believe this leads to overall success for the entity. Start-ups and early stage entities are of particular interest.
I have worked in factories developing product, and worked on the streets implementing marketing execution around the world. In cross-cultural situations I am comfortable and have experience in Europe, Mexico, Hong-Kong,Korea, and Japan and am now being introduced to Colombia. My goals are to get up every day and do what I like while earning a living for my family. I won't like it if my wife and kids don't like it. I like to be EXCELLENT at whatever I take on.
