John Sutherland

The Chief Information Officer role is responsible for all aspects of the business' Information and Communications Technology (ICT) capability; strategic planning, governance, procurement, programme management, application development and operational support.With twenty five years' business experience working in both the United Kingdom and Australia, held various roles across a range of industries including civil engineering, aerospace, manufacturing and distribution, contract research, construction, government, telecommunications, retail, life sciences and most recently, healthcare.Qualifications include Masters in Information Technology Management (Macquarie University), Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (ANU), and Diploma in Electronics Engineering (CIT).

In 2020 achieved first place in the CIO50 awards. In previous years, placed twice in the CIO50 list, as well as taking out Healthcare CIO of the year in 2017 under the iTnews Benchmark Awards.
