John Silva

Mr. Silva joined the Sporlan Division of Parker Hannifin July 2007 and currently serves us as the Divisional Quality Manager. John comes from Veeder-Root, a Division of the Danaher Corporation where he served as the Director of Mechanical Assembly operations with additional roles as Veeder-Root’s DBSL (Danaher Business System Leader or Lean).

John has a BS in Electronics Engineering and 25 years of international lean electronics manufacturing experience with well-known companies such as Zenith, Sony, Gateway and Yazaki/NACOM. Prior to joining the Danaher Corporation John worked 8 years with Yazaki/NACOM, a U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese conglomerate (Yazaki) that manufactures automotive electronics, he spent 5 years directing all aspects of product quality assurance and the last 3 years as Director of Manufacturing and Lean. This operation has 5 non-union focused, vertically integrated factories under one roof that include electronic assembly, automation, manual sub-assembly, metal stamping and injection molding.

Prior experience includes 4 years as a Product Design Engineer with Zenith Electronics in Mexico and Texas, 7 years as a Quality Assurance and Lean Manager over five plants in California and Mexico for Sony, 1 year as Manager of Global Supplier Quality for Gateway in South Dakota and 2 years as Manager of Quality Assurance and Reliability Engineering for International Rectifier in Mexico.

Personal: Married. 3 children. Mr. Silva and his wife, Sharon currently reside in Washington Mo. with daughter Caryn. Wife, Sharon is a Nurse. John was born in Chicago and Sharon is from New Jersey. John's parents and extended family are from Puerto Rico. He speaks fluent Spanish and has traveled throughout Asia, Europe, South America and Africa.
