Biography

The College of Engineering: Integrative Systems + Design

John Drogosz is the vice president of lean services for Liker Lean Advisors. His areas of expertise include lean product and process development, value stream mapping of all types of processes, lean manufacturing (with specialization in mixed model processes) and Six Sigma (Master Black Belt). He has been a lean consultant and coach to several companies and industries, including Northrop Grumman, Ford Motor Co., Johnson Controls, General Motors-Asia, Society of Automotive Engineers, Rush Trucking, Areva, Peugeot Citroen, Tenneco, Siemens, Chemtrade, Robert Bosch, Hertz, Schlumberger, Caterpillar, Moen, Embraer and Harley-Davidson.

He is a contributing author to the Toyota Product Development System by Morgan and Liker, and to Jeffrey Liker’s book, The Toyota Way to Continuous Improvement.

He currently teaches classes in Lean Product and Process Development and Lean Manufacturing for the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. He received his Ph.D. in industrial engineering from the University of Michigan and studied business administration at the University of Western Ontario.
