Biography
Cork University Business School
John Doran lectures in Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance at UCC. A graduate of UCD, he previously worked with Arthur Andersen serving clients in the technology, healthcare products and bloodstock sectors. He is currently Academic Director of the M Acc (Master of Accounting) degree programme. He specialises in Management Accounting and he has published in the areas of product pricing, change in accounting systems, the role of expert advice in investment decision-making and on issues in accounting education. His main research interests, at present, are in the areas of internal control/corporate governance and accounting education. He is a previous individual winner of the UCC Presidents Award for Excellence in Teaching and has served as Chairman of the Irish Accounting and Finance Association.
