John Alexander is an executive coach, consultant, author, lecturer, and former CEO with more than 30 years’ experience in the U.S. and abroad. He is co-founder and principal of Leadership Horizons, Inc. (LHI), an executive coaching and consulting firm for senior leaders and their teams. Recent LHI clients include a U.S. philanthropic foundation with global reach, a large European financial services firm, a North Carolina state government agency, a non-profit organization focused on public education, and an influential media company in Washington, D.C.

Alexander served for five years on the faculty of the Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, NC, where he was part of a team that designed and teaches in an innovative new leadership curriculum for law students. He previously served for two years as Isabella Cannon Distinguished Visiting Professor of Leadership at Elon University.
