Dr. Waddell earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame, where her primary research interests were in quantitative methodology and the evaluation of nonverbal communication in social interactions, with special attention to ways in which gender shapes these dynamics. She has taught broadly in the field of psychology, but has specialized throughout her career in teaching statistics, an area in which she has offered courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Waddell has worked as an assessment specialist (at Villanova University) and as a statistical consultant for research projects run by healthcare systems, educational organizations, and the NCAA.
