Biography

London College of Fashion

Experienced attorney, ethics advisor, and crisis manager with a focus on creative industries including media, fashion, and comics, as well as all types of nonprofit organization. In addition to traditional legal and expert witness services, I offer preventative training programs and strategic response advising.

I have taught law for over two decades, including creating and continuing to teach the Fashion Ethics course at Fordham Law School, as well as courses at Yale Law School, SMU, Pace University, and Saint Louis University. I've been part of dozens of panels at continuing legal education programs, comic-cons, and nonprofit and social enterprise events in the U.S. and around the world.

I am a member of the advisory board of the Fashion Law Institute and previously served as its associate director, where my work on ethics issues included advising government officials and companies on sexual harassment legal reform, anti-corruption, sustainability, and diversity and inclusion issues. I am also a member of the Ethics Committee at Kering Americas and served on the board of the Museum of Comics and Cartoon Art.

You can find my writing in various publications and on the web at The Sourcing Journal, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, The Beat, TCJ.com, and, via the Wayback Machine, Blog@Newsarama.

My J.D. is from Yale Law School and Ph.D. in American Religious History is from Duke University. I am admitted to the bar in New York and the U.S. Supreme Court.
