Biography

Sciences Po

Jean-Pascal Chazal has been a business lawyer since 1994. He received his PhD in private law (dissertation title: La puissance économique en droit des obligations) from the University of Grenoble II in 1996, and has been a full Professor of law since1999. He taught for a long time at the Jean Moulin - Lyon 3 University, where he led the private law team (EA 3707), was a co-founder of the Centre de théorie juridique (Center of legal theory) and, among other courses, taught Contract and Tort, Property law and philosophy of law. He joined the Sciences Po Law School in 2010 where he is the Director of the program EMR (Entreprises, Marchés, Régulation) within the Master''s degree in Economic law.

He is currently working on the concepts of firms and property and on a book about competition law.
