Jason Winston

Originally from West Point, GA, he has called Atlanta home his entire adult life after moving to the city to attend Georgia State University. There he received his Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in finance and marketing, and later earned a Master of Science in Marketing from Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business.

Jason brings expertise in business, finance, and marketing to Atlanta city government. He has been the owner and president of a marketing consulting business since 2011 and is an adjunct professor at Georgia State University, where he taught marketing to undergraduate business students.

Jason has a long history of public service in Atlanta. He is a longtime volunteer for the Atlanta area Boys & Girls Clubs, where he has served as a mentor and youth sports coach.

He served on the Grant Park Conservancy Board as chair and was appointed to the Park Pride Visioning Committee for Historic Grant Park. He also served as past co-chair of the Summer Shade Festival, the largest fundraiser for the Grant Park Conservancy.

Jason was an inaugural “40 under 40” honoree by the Georgia State University Alumni Association, which recognizes and celebrates the most influential graduates who represent Georgia State University.

Jason and his wife, Shalya, have called Atlanta’s District 1 home for over 15 years, and are the proud parents of a daughter, Banks Harlow.
