Jason Vassy, MD, MPH, MS is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, a clinician-investigator at the VA Boston Healthcare System (VABHS) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), and a practicing primary care physician. He earned his MD degree from Washington University School of Medicine before completing his internal medicine residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a Harvard General Internal Medicine Research Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. He directs the Genomes2Veterans portfolio within the Genomes2People research program, and his research examines the clinical utility of genetic and genomic testing in various primary care clinical contexts. Current projects include clinical trials of pharmacogenetic testing, polygenic risk scores, and return of unanticipated genetic results.
