Jason Brooks

Adjunct Professor

Biography

Jason Brooks is the founder and CEO of harkness.ai. Prior to starting his company, he served for 18 years as a teacher and administrator in public, private, charter, and parochial schools, teaching Spanish, Mandarin, and Mathematics. During his time as a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, Jason was first exposed to Data Science & Machine Learning as a member of several research teams.

During COVID, Jason was a teacher who enjoyed teaching online and began thinking more about the role of engagement. In order to help students interact with each other, he used his machine-learning background to build an app that visualized student engagement. The technology transformed his classroom culture. In October 2021, he founded harkness.ai - an early-stage startup that uses conversational intelligence to show how individual interactions affect meeting dynamics.
