Janet Featherstone

Profile

Janet plays the role of coach, lecturer, facilitator and integrator on numerous Executive and Senior Management development programmes at the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Whilst Janet has been a Professional Associate of GIBS since 2012, Janet has worked with GIBS since 2008.

Janet is the Founder and Director of In2Great Business, In2Great Coaching, In2Great Consulting and In2Great Academy, delivering executive coaching, consulting and training to both local and international clients, including Anglo American, Standard Bank, ABSA, First National Bank (FNB), Sanlam, Santam, Barloworld, Eskom, SABIC, NAMFISA, Neotel, Vodacom, MTN, Glocell, Econet Wireless, amongst others.  Janet has worked in and with delegates from numerous countries, including South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United States, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, India, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chile, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, United Kingdom and Germany.

Janet started her professional career in advertising, learning the ropes on blue chip clients such as Unilever, Cathay Pacific, Braun and Gillette. In 1995, she joined her telecommunications client, and was appointed to the board in 2001. Janet and the executive team doubled revenues from R2 to R4.2 billion from 2001 to 2007, when Janet commenced her entrepreneurial journey.

Whilst in the corporate world, Janet had functional responsibility for organisational strategy, marketing, CSI, corporate sales & CRM, franchise channels, in and out-bound call centres, corporate affairs, regional offices, procurement (R1 billion per annum), research, and was additionally appointed as managing director of a subsidiary in 2006.
