Formerly an SVP at Thomson Reuters, she is a senior corporate lawyer with deep privacy expertise and global experience in leading multi-year projects across corporate compliance areas. Her 20 year career as an in-house lawyer ranges from complex global customer, supplier and partnership agreements to international M&A, off-shoring, dispute management and government affairs. As a Senior Vice President for Thomson Reuters until 2017, Jane led the privacy function, establishing a network of privacy officers and implementing training, data residency, data governance and GDPR programs. Her wider compliance experience includes establishing a global business compliance function and corporate-wide responsibility for anti-bribery, sanctions and export control. Jane is a trustee of the Legal Education Foundation and a governor of Lincoln University. Jane holds a Classics degree from Oxford University, qualified as a lawyer with Clifford Chance and worked as an IP/IT lawyer for Linklaters.
