Dr. Stallaert’s research focuses on the interplay between Economics, Information Systems and Decision Theory. His past research has focused on developing new types of Decision Support Systems and their organizational impact. He has published in journals such as Discrete Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, POM Journal, ACM TMIS, IEEE Computer, INFORMS Journal on Computing, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Decision Support Systems, Communications of the ACM, the European Journal of Information Systems, the European Journal of Operational Research, and Interfaces. Dr. Stallaert received an Engineering degree (1987) and a B.A. in Philosophy (1988) from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), and a PhD in Management from UCLA (1992). He received a Fulbright award in 1988 and has since been awarded Fellowships from the University of California, the University of Texas, the University of Southern California and the University of Connecticut.
