Jacob Lyngsie received his PhD from Copenhagen Business School in 2013 and is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Strategic Management and Globalization. Drawing on a background in law and economics but applying an applied econometric approach to his research, he focuses in particular on the interaction between human capital and organizational design. His research has been published in leading journals such as Strategic Management Journal, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and Strategic Organization.

He teaches students at all levels on issues relating to organizational economics and received the 2015 DSEB Education Prize.

 

Primary research areas:

  • Organizational economics (particularly as it pertains to complementarities between human capital and organizational structures)
  • Entrepreneurship (strategic entrepreneurship; entrepreneurship theory)
  • Applied Econometrics
