Telfer School of Management
Jac is chief executive officer of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC Canada). He has extensive leadership experience in new venture and initiative development and implementation, gained from his 35-year career spanning the management consulting, education and public institution sectors. Jac has worked for three international consultancies—the National Research Council of Canada, the Canada Foundation for Innovation and the University of Ottawa. He has designed and installed several performance management framework and process systems in national institutions. He has extensive experience with project proposals, project and initiative leadership, business cases and cases for public investment, development of new ventures in the private sector, establishment of special purpose organizations in the public domain, and assessment of numerous proposals as a funder.
Adjunct professor - have (so far) taught over 3,500 students in 100+ courses in strategy, marketing, international business, consulting and managing in the new economy at the graduate and fourth year level at Telfer School of Business and, more recently in the Faculty of Engineering (Engineering Management). Routinely coach and mentor interns, management consulting teams and business competition teams. Connect Three Consulting- Providing counsel on strategy and business planning to unsettled organizations seeking growth and/or dramatic adjustments in their role, design or direction. Most recently supported transition of a public body to the private sector, development of a business case for public investment in a stem cell manufacturing consortium in support of clinical trials, establishment of a health research institute in a major regional hospital, Interim Executive Director for newly formed and funded research network.
