Ilari Laitinen

I am an award-winning design professional based in Helsinki, Finland. I have over ten years of international experience designing products, services and brands in the cross-section of physical and digital environments, from user interfaces to smart objects, and from physical spaces to living services, and everything in between.

• Expertise with human-centered design across disciplines — from service design to interaction design, and from product design to design for behaviour and social change. • Passionate about leveraging user needs and customer insights, designing meaningful experiences, building new businesses and driving change. • Vast experience within a variety of environments; ability to work under pressure and highly adaptable to different processes, process structures and deal with a variety of challenges. • Enjoy being part of a team, and working toward a shared goal. Collaborated with diverse and multidisciplinary teams spanning Europe, North America and East Asia.

I am currently developing innovative digital services at Barona Technologies and teaching service design through experiential learning at Aalto University Executive Education. I am alumni of the International Design Business Management (IDBM) Master’s Program at Aalto University, and ME310 Design Innovation Program conducted in collaboration with Stanford University.
