Biography

Hui Lin is an associate professor in the School of Accountancy & MIS at DePaul University. She also serves as director of the Driehaus Center for International Business. Her research interests include knowledge management, accounting information systems, information security and internal controls. Her research has been published at leading academic journals in the fields of Accounting and Information Systems such as Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Information & Management, and Computers in Human Behavior. She has also published in topnotch practitioner journals including Internal Auditor and the ISACA journal.

Lin is currently teaching financial accounting and accounting information system courses at DePaul University. She received the DePaul Excellence in Teaching award in 2014 and the College of Business Online Teaching Award in 2018. She received her PhD in accounting and information systems from Virginia Tech in 2008. She also holds a BS and a master's in accountancy from Virginia Tech. Prior to her academic career, Lin was a business consultant specializing in ERP system implementations at Arthur Andersen and BearingPoint consulting in the greater Washington DC area.
