Huang Fanhua

Professor Huang Fanhua holds Ph.D. in Economics. He is currently a Professor, Ph.D. Supervisor, Deputy Director of the Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center and International Economics Institute of Nanjing University, and Adjunct Professor of Johns Hopkins University- Nanjing University Center for Chinese and American Studies. He is also active in public service. He has been Director of the China World Economic Association, Senior Visiting Scholar at Harvard University and Hopkins University, Visiting Professor at Soochow University (Taiwan, China), and Executive Director of Nanjing International Service Outsourcing Research Center. Professor Huang has been awarded as a winner scholar of the Overseas Huaying Foundation Project.

He has been engaged in research on International Economic Trade and World Economic for a long time and has hosted and attended more than 10 national and provincial research projects, which have a significant influence in Service Trade and Modern Service Industry Development, China's Foreign Trade, and Foreign Capital Utilization, WTO Rules and China's Economic Opening. He has won over 10 important scientific research awards, including First Prize for Jiangsu Province Excellent Social Science Research Project, Third Prize for Jiangsu Province Excellent Social Science Achievement, and First prize for Nanjing University Outstanding Social Science Achievement, etc.

He, as a National Quality Curriculum leader, currently teaches many core courses for students in International Economics and Trade, including undergraduates, postgraduates, and MBA programs and courses for international students. He has directed over 60 students (undergraduates, postgraduates, and international students are included), and has been rewarded with excellent teaching achievement several times due to his outstanding teaching achievement and the high praise from students.

He has been involved in many academic exchanges and researches invited by many famous universities (Harvard University, Hopkins University, and Tilburg University), and attended many international academic conferences and delivered speeches.

As a well-known expert, Professor Huang has participated in many major government economic decision-making and planning activities and has served as a judge in many important academic reviews. He has been invited to deliver more than 20 lectures about WTO rules and China's Economic Opening, Service Trade and Modern Service Industry Development, and China's Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Development for Jiangsu Province, Nanjing, and Suzhou respectively.
