McCourt School of Public Policy

Jin Kim is a senior economist at the Department of Labor. Prior to joining the Depart of Labor, he was a senior economist at the Department of Homeland Security and the Environmental Protection Agency. He received a Ph.D. in environmental and resource economics from the University of California at Davis. Jin Kim is a member of the American Economics Association, the Environmental and Resource Economist Association, and the American Agricultural Economics Association. His primary field of research is regulatory impact analysis of federal regulations. He has recently published research articles in Land Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Agriculture and Resource Economics, and Journal of Marine Resource Economics. Jin Kim is also an affiliated professor at Georgetown University, Public Policy School since 2003.
